2013 Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon

Our March release features two stunning wines from one near-perfect vintage: 2013. The warm, dry conditions throughout allowed for ideal maturation and flavor concentration. Sourced from across our estate and select blocks of the W.S. Keyes Vineyard, the 2013 Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon was aged for 19 months in 89% new French oak. Representing a true Bordeaux blend, this predominately Cabernet Sauvignon is comprised of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon,10.5% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc, 4.5% Petit Verdot, and 2% Malbec. With 10 years of age, this wine imparts brambly blackberry, espresso bean, toast, and gravely minerality. It's a classic Howell Mountain Cab that's full-bodied and well-balanced with a lengthy finish.
